Chocolate Biscuits Give Pause in Our Short Lives
5/2/2024
Before undertaking the path to Enlightenment, let us take a moment to consider the chocolate biscuit and ask ourselves this simple question - is your life better without them? There will be people who come loaded with scientific data that will say, yes, life is better without chocolate biscuits as biscuits are stuffed with sugar just like silos are stuffed with nuclear weapons. If you have issues with sugar that impact your health, then you should avoid chocolate biscuits and listen to your medical professional. If you are in the clear medically to digest a chocolate biscuit, then let us return to the question - is your life better without them?
Chocolate biscuits represent the struggle we humans have with temptation. Let's be honest here. If the temptation in the Garden of Eden had been a packet of chocolate biscuits, Eve and Adam would have eaten the lot in one sitting while drinking a strong cup of Tetley's tea. And they would have spent Eternity wandering the empty shelves of a cosmic supermarket in a desperate search for chocolate biscuits. Good thing the item of temptation in the Garden of Eden was an apple because hardly anyone eats those things these days. The last time I tried an apple five teeth fell out.
So, if the bite of Temptation leads to knowledge of the cruel world, the absolute disaster of knowing that we have a meeting with Death's HR Department, then a chocolate biscuit on the path to Enlightenment is not only a choice worth taking but an obligation to punctuation, a pause that slows time down before HR heads down to the lower floors with the news. Go now and buy a packet!
